The Importance of Early Education in America

Early education in children occurs from the time they are born till they reach age 5. It comprises formal education like preschool and instructions given on an individual level, for instance from the parent to the child. Early education does not just benefit the particular child in question and their parents, but also the society at large. It is as a result of the range of benefits of early education that the American government has funded several programs to see the children gain from them.Importance to the SocietyEarly education prepares children for the school life ahead of them and teaches them how to communicate effectively. Apart from getting ready for the formal education system, the children grow to become better members of the society; studies indicate that educated children are not likely to engage in crime.

Early education is a source of employment for many credentialed staff; less money is spent later on tuitions, special education and remedial; the children have a low chance of repeating a grade; and later on, they get good jobs with high income and thus pay more tax to fund programs run by the government.

Early education promotes better social and language skills in children. When books are read to them, their imaginations or creativity and comprehension of relationships develops.

Early education also helps children develop sustainable values and great personalities at a very tender age. Exposure to the environment helps them appreciate nature in the long run.

Parents with children join preschool networks of parents and learns how to interact with their children as well as the system of education in addition to helping and encouraging their children to work hard.
