Bee Mine - Valentine's Day Craft

Valentine's Day is around the corner and this holiday was made for kids crafts. The options are endless when it comes to finding an activity perfect for you and your kids to enjoy together in celebraton of the day dedicated to love.

You can never go wrong with creating personalized Valentine's and these bumblebee Valentine's will have your kiddies buzzing with excitement. Here are two bumblebee Valentine's you can create with your kids this Valentine's Day.

Bee Mine Valentine via Crafty Morning

Supplies:

  • Yellow and pink or red construction paper

  • Scissors

  • Tape

  • Glue

  • Black pipe cleaner

  • Black marker

Step 1: Take the yellow construction paper and cut out an oval for the body of the bumblebee and 2 hearts of the same size. Take the black construction paper and cut out two small ovals for the eyes and stripes for the body of your bee. Take the pink and red construction paper and cut out a medium sized heart and 2 small hearts.

Step 2: Take the pipe cleaner and cut it in half. Take one of the half pieces of pipe cleaner and bend it in half. Next curl the ends of the pipe cleaner to create your atennas.

Step 3: Glue on your eyes and stripes. Once this dries turn your bee over and glue the two yellow hearts to the back to make your wings. Once this has dried take your atenna and tape it to the back of your bee.

Step 4: Take your medium pink or red heart and glue it near the bottom of your bee. Write Bee Mine in the center of the heart. Now, glue your two little pink or red hearts around the medium heart, that's it.

Bee Mine Valentine via ABC to ACTS

Supplies:

  • Black, yellow, and pink or red construction paper

  • Tape

  • Glue

  • Scissors

  • Googly eyes

  • Black piper cleaner

  • Black marker

Step 1: Cut 2 large hearts using each color of construction paper (black, yellow, and pink or red) along with 2 medium hearts and 2 small hearts using the red or pink construction paper.

Step 2: Layer then glue the black and yellow hearts one on top of the other alternating between the two beginning with a black heart from bottom to top. Make sure that the final heart on top is the yellow heart. This will be the face of your bumblebee.

Step 3: Once the bumblebee has dried turn it over and glue the 2 large red or pink hearts to the back for your wings.

Step 4: While your bumblebee is drying take a pipe cleaner and cut it in half. Take your medium sized red or pink hearts and tape each heart to one end of a pipe cleaner. Now that your bumblebee is dry tape each pipe cleaner to the back from the other end to make your atennas.

Step 5: Now it's time to make the face. Glue your googly eyes on the top yellow heart and then take the black marker and draw a smile. Take your two small red and pink hearts and glue one to each end of the smile. Viola! Your adorable bumblebee valentine is now complete.
