Sensory bins are a great way for kids to learn and play. You introduce your child to a variety of new things as they begin to explore the world around them. Expose them to shapes, colors, numbers, foods, textures, animals, etc. You can create theme sensory bins or jusst create your own. Here are five sensory bin ideas you can create for your childs next playtime activity.

Color Themed Sensory Bins

Color themed sensory bins are a great way to introduce your kids to color. These sensory bins also allow you to introduce them to an arrray of items like foods, animals, and objects.

Construction Site Sensory Bin

This is another themed sensory bin idea. This sensory bin not only allow kids to play; but they can explore a variety of different texts and objects. In this sensory bin you can incorporate sand or gravel, toy trucks, nuts and bolts, washers, rocks, and/or jewel stones. You can pick and choose how little or many objects you incorporate to create your sensory bin construction site.

Feather and Cotton Ball Sensory Bin

This sensory bin is fluffy and soft. Simply place feathers (can be purchased at any craft store) and contton balls into a bin. You can choose to include other soft and fluffy objects or use different objects altogether, the options are endless.

Construction Paper Rainbow Sensory Bin

This sensory bin is easy to make and revolves around colors. This bin can also help with teaching your child about shapes and patterns. All you need to do is take sheets of construction paper of various colors and cut them into squares.

Baby Sensory Bin

This sensory bin is perfect for babies. Simply take a baking pan and place rice, the uncooked pasta of your choice and shapes in it. Your baby will enjoying touching the different textrues and playing with the blocks.
